Polly was rescued from the Covington, TN city pound. She is 8 years old, and was brought in by an owner who said they couldn't afford to feed her or Pepper any more. Can you imagine living 8 years with a family and then going to a pound? Polly is very sweet and calm. She is adjusting well in a great foster home. She is very small, less than 10 lbs., and will be spayed/vaccinated soon. Polly deserves a wonderful home where she can stay permanently. She and Pepper would both make really great "inside" dogs. They are both tiny and so cute you'll want them around all the time! Can you give her the happy ending she deserves? Polly has tested positive for heartworms. Our vet believes the treatment would be too hard on her because of her age. She is in great health now, so we are hoping to find a home for Polly that will give her lots of love in her remaining years. Our vet said she could live 6 more years in excellent health!
