German Shepherd Dog - Large - Baby - Female - Dog - Asia
Description
Meet Asia Asia is a stunning black and silver beauty! (Estimated birth date 11-28-08) She wound up in a shelter when her owners were unable to provide for her anymore. Asia is very smart, has a strong desire to please her people and therefore learns quickly. She walks well on a leash, is housebroken, and is currently brushing up on her basic obedience and pack manners in her foster home with other german shepherds. She loves people and has done fine with the other the dogs her size, once she realized she isn't the boss. She has been spayed and is confident, healthy, and happy and will bond quickly with her new family. Asia should go to a family that understands her need to get lots of exercise to wear off some of her boundless energy. Not recommended for a home with small children since she is a large and exuberant girl who doesn't know she's a big dog. Excellent candidate for Search & Rescue, Agility or even a devoted jogging partner.As with ALL GERMAN SHEPHERDS we strongly encourage the new adoptive family to enroll the dog in an obedience class to facilitate bonding and help with the transformation into the best dog you've ever had. If you are interested in adopting a new family member from our organization, please complete the online adoption application. It is the first step to bringing home your new family member. All dogs listed as ADOPTABLE are indeed still available. Matching the right dog with the right family sometimes takes a while, so your patience is appreciated. Our adoption fees are: $300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY) $250 for any dog 1-3 years (YOUNG) $200 for any dog 3-7 years (ADULT) $150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR) The adoption fee helps cover expenses for the dogs while in the rescue program including the vet check, vaccines, heartworm testing, stool check, spay/neuter , microchip, plus other necessary veterinary care and training to get the dog ready for adoption. Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. We are not a shelter, but a network of foster homes. Therefore there is no one central location where multiple dogs can be viewed. We work BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. var sc_project=4232660; var sc_invisible=1; var sc_partition=49; var sc_click_stat=1; var sc_security="9508b9c5";
