German Shepherd Dog - Large - Young - Male - Dog - Samson

Meet Samson Samson is a really gorgeous 2 year old black male purebred german shepherd. (estimated birth date 4-1-07) He has been well taken care of is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention and is neutered. Samson is a happy friendly boy, very vocal and high energy. He is housebroken, crate trained and walks well on a leash but needs more daily attention and obedience training. We do not recommend Samson for a family with young children (under 10), as he has a tendency to jump on them when excited and has been mouthy with them. He needs someone that will be loving and attentive and consistent with his training. No cats please. He is okay with other dogs but really does not yet know how to play with them. We offer sort of trial adoptions to local families so we can be sure it is a good match. Matching the right dog with the right family sometimes takes a while, so your patience is appreciated.Our adoption fees are: $300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY) $250 for any dog 1-3 years (YOUNG) $200 for any dog 3-7 years (ADULT) $150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR) The adoption fee helps cover expenses for the dogs while in the rescue program including the vet check, vaccines, heartworm testing, stool check, spay/neuter , microchip, plus other necessary veterinary care and training to get the dog ready for adoption. Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. We are not a shelter, but a network of foster homes.
