Dudley was rescued from the Tipton County Animal Shelter. Hes approximately one year old and weighs 14 lbs. Dudley is a happy little guy who was very insecure and fearful when he first came into rescue. He was moved into a foster home where hes been able to relax and build his confidence. He greets all who come his way with wags and happy feet, eager to get his due reward of TLC and pats. His BFF is Bree, another GOOD DOG who's available for adoption. Dudley tends to guard his toys. He plays well with other dogs who dont try to dominate him. Dudley still prefers to eat his dinner away from the other dogs in his foster home. Dudley has flaky skin that does not appear to itch. Hes had several T-GEL shampoo baths and this has improved the flaking dramatically. His foster mom is feeding him a hypoallergenic diet and that seems to be helpful as well. We adopt dogs from Memphis Animal Shelter when we can. The shelter has an 83% euthanasia rate, one of the highest in the country. Unfortunately, any dog coming from Memphis Animal Shelter, and most other shelters for that matter, will have been in contact with contagious illness. Even though the dogs have been in foster care and appear to be in good health, they may become stressed when changing environments and exhibit signs and symptoms of illness. If you have other pets, they need to be up to date on vaccines before bringing a shelter dog into your home. We will take the adopted animal back, but we are not responsible for your other animal's vet care. We always disclose where the dogs have come from. Please ask for any information about the dogs and exercise due caution if you have immunocompromised animals.
